Kerastase Cristal Liste

I first started using Kerastase products back in college due to a recommendation from my roommate, she had the most luscious, black hair that I would kill for! So naturally I wanted to emulate her routine in hopes that my hair would magically transform into hers, needless to say it didn't. Nonetheless, my hair loves Kerastase and I have been using their products for YEARS now.

With the exception of one product, Nectar Thermique, I am not loyal to one particular product from Kerastase, I'm loyal to the brand. I've used everything from shampoos to conditioners to styling products, of course some were better than others but I've always been a supporter of Kerastase.

With all this being said, I was checking out Sea of Shoes' blog the other day and saw a sponsored post Jane did about the newest Cristal Liste line from Kerastase. Um besides my existing love of this brand and the fact I'm a beauty junkie, this line was specifically made for long hair...how could I resist? One of the toughest parts of maintaining long hair is keeping your ends conditioned so you don't get pesky split ends while combating oily roots. Now if this Kerastase line does what it claims, it could be the perfect solution for long hair woes everywhere.

Actual thoughts on the line will follow in a few weeks seeing as I still need to finish my current products but I'm pretty darn excited (I know I shouldn't be this giddy about hair but I am) so I wanted to share.

Has anyone out there tried this new line? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Emjoi Epilator #3

It is with great sadness, I report the recent death of my Red Emjoi Emagine Epilator. I'm really quite mad at myself for damaging another appliance due to improper use of a power converter while traveling. Just a few years ago I did the same thing with my T3 hair dryer! I never seem to learn, I should be banned from traveling with appliances.

But with every ending, comes a new beginning...or in this case a new epilator. And as a added safety precaution for my damage-prone self I decided to splurge on the rechargeable version of the Emjoi Emagine. It's basically the same one as my last one but, this one can be used cordless which is perfect for me when I travel. To be honest though I'm loving the new purple color, makes me feel like I just got a brand-new toy even though its the same epilator, different color.

If your interested in seeing my epilator review, check out my YouTube channel. I did a mini demonstration too with my original Emjoi.

On a slightly unrelated note, if you have followed me for a bit you might know by now that I've been addicted to my epilator for a while. I'm completely anti-shaving due to my hatred of stubble & rapid hair growth. And while my epilator has been my dedicated companion for years now, more recently I made the active decision to explore laser hair removal. I'm only in initial phases, I did tons of online research, read countless reviews and checked out a few places. Just 2 days ago I got my first treatment on my legs. I decided to just start with my full legs with bikini and see what results I achieve since it is a costly process. I have definite plans to do a more in depth review but I want to give it maybe one more treatment (each treatment is 4-6 weeks apart) before I write it.

I would love of hear your thoughts/experiences on laser hair removal. I've heard mixed reviews, more good than bad though.

Moisturizing Trio

When it comes to moisturizing my body, I'm probably the most inconsistent person on this planet. I always try to incorporate in my nightly bath time ritual but, after a few days it always seem to fall short....until now. I have been absolutely obsessed with this lotion trio!! Love how this stuff keeps me moisturized without that heavy residue other lotions leave.

The Body Shop Body Butter: Love this stuff, some of the best lotion around. It honestly goes on effortlessly, not too thick, dry touch but, it keeps your skin moisturized for the entire day which is the wow factor for me. You don't have to get this Vitamin E one in particular, they are all great.

Bliss Fat Girl Sleep: Got this during a Bliss sale and I'm think this scent is heavenly. I haven't used this long enough to comment on its claim to firming but, I've read some positive reviews so I'm giving it a shot. To be honest though, the scent alone will probably keep me coming back for more. Note: only Fat Girl Sleep smells this good, the daytime stuff does not.

Bliss Foot Patrol: Another Bliss find, this stuff is especially great during spring/summer months since I wear sandals and flats more. My feet tend to get overly dry around the cuticle area and the ball of my feet so I throw this stuff on nightly. Makes a big difference. If you want to go crazy, after applying this put on some socks to lock in that moisture.

PS - I'm trying this new mobile blogging thing, hopefully this increases my blogging

Bumble and Bumble Straight

My current hair obsession.

Ages ago I tried my first Bumble product, pretty much found it subpar. Years later I tried the Does it All Spray, liked it but found the scent to be too strong. That's really my issue with Bumble products, their good but never spot on. Until now.

After reading a raving review on this Bumble line, I decided to put aside my past qualms and give this brand another try. Boy am I glad I did.

The shampoo and conditioner are money - the best. Really like the consistency, lathers nicely and does not leave residue on your hair. Smells amazing. While typically I don't use conditioner, with this shampoo you have to or else it leaves your hair a tad too dry.

I also apply this Blow Dry on damp hair and it goes on nicely - absorbs quickly and not greasy at all. It pairs perfectly with my current Kerastase leave in conditioner. You can probably use the blow dry alone but, I've been using Kerastase for years not sure if I can part with it. A little goes a long way so don't go crazy.

When it comes to hair products, I am super picky. I always rotate shampoos, heard its bad to use one shampoo consistently so I am always on the lookout for new ones. After trying this line from Bumble, I will surely keep it in my hair rotation. Slightly pricey for shampoo & conditioner but I managed to stock up on during the latest Sephora sale.

If you want to try your own, visit a Sephora near you and ask for a sample.

Rebecca Minkoff Lovin'

I am excited to share that I have finally made my very first Rebecca Minkoff purchase! This is both exciting and shocking to me, I have always found Rebecca Minkoff to be one of the more affordable higher-end brands and they typically have such cute stuff so why have I never owned anything from them before?!?! Well as the saying goes, better late than never...

I featured these Rebecca Minkoff Bardot Sandals on my Spring Sandals Post and when I saw this color I knew I had to get them (<3 anything mint colored!). And as an added bonus I got 20% off with the Bloomingdales Friends and Family discount, it was the perfect excuse to make the splurge. FYI, typically I would not spend this much on one pair of sandals since I usually don't wear sandals for more than a year but, I feel the color/style/comfort of these sandals made it all worthwhile so I treated myself :)

I just checked the Bloomies site and unfortunately these sandals are all sold out, they only have the Rose Gold color in one size left. I would recommend looking in-store if you are interested in purchasing your own.

I also saw this little coin pouch while I was browsing and I could not resist. How cute is this? I have been really into orange lately and the logo which you probably cannot see in this photo because the lighting is awful says "my diet starts tomorrow". I was thoroughly amused by this wallet so it came home with me. I figured I could use it for receipts, coupons or frequent shopper cards...hopefully it will help take some stress out of my bulky wallet.

Did you guys make any good finds from the latest Bloomies sale?
